Vineyards planted on mountain slopes, wineries spread out in the heart of rural land – the Grape Man staff takes you on an experiential vineyard and winery tour through the biblical Judean Mountains.
We shall start our day at the Grape Man home in Jaffa, for a steaming morning cup of coffee, natural juice and pastry freshly arrived from the bakery. We shall board a luxurious tour bus equipped with Wi-Fi for the comfort of those who cannot unlink. During our ride our wine steward will offer bubblies and fresh fruit.
We shall make our way east up the Judean Mountains on the road to Jerusalem and open our tour by making a fascinating acquaintance with Tzora winery's quality 'Shoresh' vineyard, where we shall hear explanations about the vineyards various plots, the different varieties and the influence of the terroir on vine growing. From Shoresh vineyard we shall continue to the Tzora Winery itself, a winery holding an approach revering the growing surroundings, there we shall taste some of the winery's wines, preceded by their reputation, some of them crafted from grapes grown in the very vineyard which we have visited just a short while before, receiving explanations about the growing and production methods.
After completion of the Tzora Winery visit we shall follow the steps of the biblical Samson, from Tzora to Eshtaol, for a visit to the Flam Winery. This is a boutique family winery which from its very beginning stands in the forefront of the Israeli wine industry. The wines are produced in a modern style with an affinity to Italian wines, steady on the timeline, precise, tasty and granting good value for money. We shall receive explanations from one of the family members involved in the winery's operation, taste the finest of the wines and leave ample time for shopping in the winery store.
Wine shocked but satisfied, we shall depart to the Abu Gosh area, where we shall dine on an Israeli lunch with numerous salads and hor d'oeuvres, a choice of meats and cooked dishes. To conclude the meal we shan't concede sweets and a hot cup of coffee.
After the rich meal we shall make our way back down to Jaffa, tired but contented.
